My Digital Studio Saves the Day!!

As I was settling down to work this morning, my phone rings. The number on the Caller ID is my children's school. Yikes!!! I pick it up and it is my sweet little man. He says "Mommy, today is Miss Sparks birthday and we need to do something for her." Whew, that sounded alot better than "I broke my arm on the playground". I asked him what he meant by "do something for her" but he wasn't sure. I offered to bring some cupcakes at the end of school and that sounded like a good idea to him.

As I slaved in the kitchen, I had a brilliant thought, I could make some custom cupcake picks with my computer and My Digital Studio!!!

So here they are, 24 homemade cupcakes with custom made Happy Birthday picks. I created the pick art with My Digital Studio. I started by choosing a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, added a mat, text, a couple of digital stamp images and another scallop to the back and made it just a tad bigger.

I saved it as a .jpeg, imported it into a Word Document and printed it out on Whisper White card stock. Got out my 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and punched all 24 of them out in about 2 minutes. I sandwiched a toothpick between my Digital Art and another Scallop Circle out of Rose Red.

His little eyes lit up when he saw me coming and Miss Sparks was quite suprised so that made me happy, I shall just get my work done tonight.

This is just one of the many reasons I love my job, I have the flexibility to "leave work" if my family needs me and that is a great feeling.
