As I was creating a project for my upcoming Trip to Halloween Town Stamp Camp, I was looking for an extra little something for it. I wanted it to be a punch but not the bat. Somehow or another, my mind flashed to a tulip I had seen created with the Owl Punch #118074 and then to flipping the tulip and making a ghost, not really sure how it all came together as this is typical of my thought pattern when I stamp……really random. 🙂
So here is a card I whipped up using my new little ghost friend so I could show you. Notice that Ric Rac divider, it is a sneak peak of one of our new Big Shot dies coming next month in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The letters were also cut using the Big Shot with the Simple Alphabet.
I placed a 2" strip of Whisper White card stock into the Owl Punch and lined the edge up with the middle bumps on his head. Punched it out, cut off the feet and trimmed it just a bit to round the points.
Here is a close up of my little buddy, I used an owl foot punched out of Basic Black for his mouth and his eyes were done with the Crop-A-Dile, I put a small strip of Basic Black behind the holes.
If you don't have this punch, you really do need it. Stay tuned for more things you can do with it. Order it HERE #118074.
The colors on this card are taken from the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Basic Black. Have you gotten your share of our Designer Series Papers? If not, I am still filling shares, click HERE for the info.
So cool! I never would have thought of that. Now something else to add to the wishlist! Thanks Barb.
How fun! I was just thinking that we needed more halloween punches 🙂
